Ab exercises at home

March 29, 2010

Everyone wants awesome abs and particularly as summer is on its way, we want to be ready to hit the beach in our short shorts and teeny bikinis. Gym can be expensive and I feel unnecessary as many exercises can be done at home without the need for specialist equipment.

As well as the classic sit-ups, one of my favourite abs exercises is the ‘plank’; this is where you get into the press-up position and lower yourself onto your elbows and hold this position for as long as you can, making sure your back is straight and stomach is held in tightly. This is a very effective exercise if done regularly. Do this for a few minutes a day and you’ll have a flat stomach in no time!

Wow! did you see Usain Bolt set a new world record in the 100 metres in Belin this week? It was amazing. I was left speechless at how easily he made it look!

The 22 year old Jamaican managed to run the distance in 9.58 seconds, shattering his previous record by 0.11.

I really admire him for continuing to strecth the boundaries and push himself and achieve what might be thought of as impossible.

I hope he continues to impress us with his amazing skills and break more world records in the future.

I cant wait to see him run again! :–)

Time is running out for Newcastle, as they fight to stay in the Premier League.  The Magpies only managed to take a draw from Portsmouth last night and hope is now starting to run out.

Newcastle are 3 points away from fourth place Hull, with matches against Liverpool, Middlesbrough, Fulham and Aston Villa left.  The game against Middlesbrough will be dog eat dog, as surely the winner of this match will inevitably stay in the Premier League.

All is left to play for, for those at the bottom of the table.

New Premier League arrivals Stoke City after a slow start have done themselves proud, currently in 12th position.

The next few weeks will decide the fate of those left in the balance and all is yet to be decided!
