Another footballer cheats

February 2, 2010

John Terry has been caught cheating on his wife Toni with Vanessa Perroncel girlfriend of his England team mate Wayne Bridge.

It has been reported that John paid for an abortion for Vanessa after she got pregnant with his child.  The affair has been going on since November last year and he is supposedly been going to Vanessa’s house twice a week either after practice or on his way back from a game.

John will fly to be with Toni in their Dubai property over Valentines day to try and repair the damage he has caused.

Why cant footballers just keep it in their pants??

It is nearly the end of the month and I am dreading my mobile phone bill arriving. I have been abroad recently and probably used my mobile phone more than I do at home! I was getting home sick and wanted to keep in contact with my closest friends and family. I ended up having more time on my hands than planned, and visited so many amazing places I wanted to share my experiences with the people I love. Luckily for me my regular phone bill each month is not extortionate because I am able to get free minutes and free messages. I am so grateful I am able to benefit from the free SMS service my mobile provider offers. Otherwise I mobile would end up costing me a small fortune! I am a bit of a chatterbox to say the least, and my friends and I are “text aholics” so knowing I have a certain number of minutes and texts to use each month means I do not have to feel guilty about staying on the phone too long and forwarding messages I receive on to others. My mobile phone is glued to my hand and I simply cannot imagine life without it! I wonder what the y are going to think of next?

Is it only me or is anyone else soooo over the Jordan / Peter sager!!! I am so fed up of he said she said …..get over yourself we don’t care anymore
Yes it’s sad yes it hard as when any couple separate particularly when there are kids involved but please there is no dignity in washing your dirty laundry in public. You are not that big a deal to warrant so much air time or reading matter.
I am even frustrated that I have even decided to write the this blog but it really does get up my nose
From what I can see neither of them are doing themselves any favors and coming out in a good light! All they seem to be bothered about is how much money and publicity they can get out of it. Sad desperate and pathetic springs to mind when real people who go through this hell every day are literately in bits needing therapy to recover. It does seem to be of glorifying what normal people find an excruciating painful experience.

Reality TV.

August 5, 2009

Reality TV- has it come to an end!

What with Big Brother and I am a celebrity, I am sick and tired of Wacthing people I dont even recogince as being famous. They are not even interesting as far as I am concerned.

When it frist began all those years ago, I did find it interesting as it was a novelty……now though I am just bored!

Is it too much to ask for a good drama of comedy!

I think it might be!

Vending Machine Mania

July 16, 2009

Just think about it, if you get a bit peckish at work, at the train station or even after a workout at the gym, and there’s a vending machine around filled to the brim with delicious chocolates and crisps, you’re hard pushed not to grab a quick snack. They are so convenient that we don’t really think about the implications that vending machines have on our health if they are not stocked carefully and with consideration.  I have recently started to see vending machines that are filled with a mixture of the traditional vending machine snacks (such as crisps, fizzy drinks and sweets) but also with snack bars, small bags of dried fruit and nuts and healthy living treats. This is definitely the way forward as people who are trying to turn their life around with healthy living are falling prey to the lure of the traditional vending machine. With over 150 calories on average in every fizzy drink, packet of crisps, and even more in your average chocolate bar there’s no chance for your average person who is trying to live a healthier life, unless they have the willpower of a cheetah who’s not eaten in 4 days chasing a herd of wildebeests! All vending machines from now on should stock a range of snacks so when we get tempted we can make the right choice!

If I was a super star I’d appear in the middle of the stage on platform lifts.  I’d rise up out of the ground in a super cool fashion and all my fans would scream, then suddenly I’d fly in the air (no one noticing the wires attached to my back) and I’d fly gracefully across the arena…

She then awakes from the dream, was that a concert or the circus?!  The country’s going through a recession/depression whatever you want to call it. Apparently we are all 35 percent more likely to become depressed than we were a year ago.  I wouldn’t say I was depressed, but I can certainly feel something bringing me down.

I’ve always been really motivated and driven at work but at the moment it seems like I’m trying to swim upstream.  I’m putting in more and more hours, trying harder and harder and still ending up two paces further back than I started.

I’m sure I’m not the only one feeling the squeeze.  My finances aren’t any worse than they’ve been before; in fact they’re probably better.  I’m not as cavalier as I was in my youth.  But still you can feel it all the time.

I think that the media industry is making it much worse.  I don’t think it would be too much to ask for them to lift the mood a little.  They could all have a happiness full on assault for a couple of weeks to see if it had a positive impact.  Obviously it would!  It was Boris Johnson who sought out the pursuit of happiness.  I think that we should be looking to this more and more as we’re here for a good time, not a long time.  We should all remember that and do something every day to make us happy.

Fair enough I’m not a mother yet and maybe one day I will turn into one of those women who insistently talk about their child but for now I certainly am not.  Driving along the road, one of my biggest bug bears was those people with window stickers in their cars.  You know the ones, ‘little devil on board’ or ‘little miss present’.  Is there any need?  Do these window stickers have any impact on how people drive along a road?

Then there are those girls with ‘princess on board’ or ‘hot stuff on board’.  Get a grip on yourself, no need what so ever!

One of my friends has recently had a baby and only now have I realised the utter despise caused when you park in the mother and child spots at the supermarket when you don’t have a child.  I thought my friend was going to spit on someone when they did it and she had to struggle in the normal parking.

Maybe they should have window stickers saying ‘knobber on board’, ‘watch out selfish monkey navigating’?!  I for one will never have window stickers don my car windows.  I will let people make their own mind up about me and my driving skills on the road…?!

It seems like a lot of people are at least trying to go green these days.  Whole companies make their living through pushing the green scene, selling services such as energy performance certificates, auditing homes and reducing people’s carbon foot print.

I try not to think about it too much; I recycle glass and cans, plus I always give my old clothes to charity.  I do think that our generation need to sort out poverty as well as the whole green issue.  The country seems to be in such a mess at the moment though.  Recently it seems like a case of, where do we start?!

I’m 26 years old and I can state for my generation that we are completely detached from our countries economic and political agenda.  We have not got the UK into the situation it is in now and yet don’t seem to have much of a say about sorting it out.  I personally think that in a couple of decades we’ll be left to pick up the pieces of a broken Britain.

I think that there should be a complete cull of politicians; the expense row gives the perfect excuse.  The majority of them have taken the complete piss and should go.  The government needs a wider variation of people in terms of age and wealth, not just race.  It may then be possible to say that the government is making decisions for the whole of the UK, rather than just a small percentage of the public who like in a) London and b) are old.

In the news again this week, the Labour party pushing UK ID cards onto us.  Apparently people can take ID cards out from pharmacies and shops if they wish.  I think that it seems ridiculous!!!  Why would I want to go get an ID card if there is no reason to do so?

It’s not like the government can ensure the security of the information they already have on me, why would I freely give them more.  It won’t be long now until document scanning facilities allow people to make carbon copies of all our ID documents.  Either that or a friendly, yet incompetent government official will leave it on a train, tube or bus for any travelling criminal to find.

Not only have the majority of the British public dismissed the ID card idea, only the Labour Party are pushing it through and even then, they don’t have support from the whole of their party!  I have enough documents to carry without adding to them!

The government should wait until there is such a technological advance to require a new country wide ID scheme.  Retina or finger print scanning perhaps with a UK wide central database to cut out the document scanning and card carrying that goes on every day.

Jacqui Smith is back defending her position as Home Secretary after more damaging disclosures about her use of Parliamentary expenses.  The most recent piss take by the home secretary is that she “mistakenly” claimed back expenses for two porn films allegedly watched by her husband?!

Smith’s husband, Richard Timney, who is also Smiths aide apologised for the “embarrassment” caused to Smith and promised to repay the £10 film charges.

It was a Virgin Media bill that was apparently inadvertently submitted by Timney for expenses.  The bill included the porn film charges and a £67 internet connection charge.

Gordon Brown has given Smith his full support saying:

“The Home Secretary is doing a great job and I do not think this issue should be allowed to detract from everything she is doing to ensure we protect the public and keep our neighbourhoods safe.  She has done the right thing by taking steps to rectify the mistake that was made as soon as she became aware of it.  This is very much a personal matter for Jacqui. She has made her apology, her husband has made clear that he has apologised. The best thing is that Jacqui Smith gets on with her work, which is what she wants to do.”

This is not the first time that Smith has been in the spotlight regarding expenses and many think that she should now stand down.

As the rest of Britain deal with the recession, people losing their homes and jobs, it becomes very frustrating to hear what a joke some of our politicians are making of our tax money.
