Noel Gallagher Attacked During Gig
September 9, 2008
In the news this week Noel Gallagher has been viciously pushed off stage during a gig in Canada. The attacker, Daniel Sullivan (47) has now been charged with assault by Toronto police.
Noel (41) was admitted to hospital after being pushed while playing his guitar on stage at the festival.
A statement has been made by the band, saying that Noel:
“Fell heavily on to his monitor speakers”
After visiting the hospital, sources said that he had sustained ligament damage and may have a fractured rib.
Oasis is due to play Ontario soon but no decision has been made regarding whether the gig will go ahead.
The attack took place as the band performed Morning Glory, title track of their 1995 album.
The attacker was thrown to the ground by security guards and Liam had to be restrained (as you can imagine) at the same time.
Showing true style, Noel returned to finish the set after a few minutes, despite his injuries. He was then taken to hospital after the gig had finished assessing the damage.
Don’t look back in anger hey Noel!!!
